Andhra CM Jagan presents 'chadar' for Kondapalli dargah urs

AMARAVATI: Chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy handed over ‘chadar’ to be offered at Syed Shah Bukhari dargah in Kondapalli to the delegation led by the dargah trustee and saint Altaf Raza Babu at his camp office on Tuesday.
The chadar would be offered at the dargah during the annual urs celebrations to be held on March, 5 and 6. Saint Altaf Raza explained the chief minister that Kondapalli dargah was one of the oldest and historical shrines in the state.
He said that dargah was nearly 423 years old as the devotees across the country used to visit the place to offer prayers. He said that they were making elaborate arrangements for the urs celebrations to which they were expecting nearly 3-4 lakh pilgrims turnout. He said that they were making arrangements for ‘annadaanam’ for about 1 lakh people during the urs.
Altaf Raza invited the chief minister to visit the Darga during the urs celebrations. Chief minister Jagan directed the officials to provide full support for the smooth conduct of the urs celebrations. Deputy chief minister Amzath Basha, ministers Vellampalli Srinivas, Anil Kumar Yadav, MLAs Mustafa, Hafeez Khan, Nawaz Basha, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy were also present.
