Noida school shut over coronavirus scare

NOIDA: A renowned school in Noida was closed on Tuesday amid coronavirus scare a day after a Class 6 student’s father was detected with the infection.
The school that is located in Sector 135 of Noida was closed on Tuesday for fumigation due to the concerns over the infection.
The family of the child has been quarantined. The chief medical officer has reached school and activated sanitisation of building.
The school has asked parents to pick up children. Many students have also skipped school following the scare.
A birthday party was thrown by the person who has tested positive for coronavirus in Delhi on Monday. Several children of this school were said to be present at that party.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Delhi on March 2. The person from Delhi had travelled to Italy. He is being diagnosed at RML hospital.
"The patient is stable and being closely monitored," the health ministry said on Monday.
India on Monday reported two more positive cases and one suspected case of Covid-19, the novel coronavirus infection that has killed over 3,000 people globally till now.
