Following the mishap in which 3 crew members died, the police had summoned actor Kamal Haasan for enquiry.

Central Crime Branch has earlier registered a negligence case that caused casuality and injury for the crew members and had summoned director Shankar, Kamal Haasan and other members who were believed to be present during the accident.
While Director S Shankar appeared before Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials at the City Police Commissionerate on Thursday, Kamal Haasan has appeared for the enquiry today.
Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan is directed by Shankar and is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian. During the shoot of the film, a crane crashed over the film crew on Wednesday, leaving 3 dead and about 9 injured.
The deceased include assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandran and production assistant Madhu. Cases have been filed against the production house Lyca and crane operator.
In an official statement issued on Thursday, Lyca Productions stated that Kamal Haasan should accept responsibility for the mishap as well.
Director of Lyca Productions, Neelkant Narayanpur, said in the statement, “As you are surely aware, incidents of this nature need to be dealt with in the spirit of collective responsibility and rectification.
Earlier Director Shankar had announced Rs 1 crore financial assistance to the families of the three technicians who lost their lives.
