Vandals have defaced goats that were being used to control weeds near a busy station.
A woman named Mieke took a photo just after 6pm on Monday that showed black spray paint on the white hair of a goat near Belgrave Station in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Six goats were leased from a landscaping company in October to keep the weeds by the bus stop and train station at bay.
Mieke and her partner said the goat photographed was one of two that had been tagged.

The couple reported it to Metro Trains.
A Metro Trains spokesman told Daily Mail Australia the company would contact the goats' caretaker.
'This is an appalling act of vandalism,' he said.
'Metro takes the care of these goats very seriously, we check on them regularly and we will be visiting them today to ensure they are all safe and healthy.
'The goats are doing an important job of clearing weeds in the area, which will allow the native plants to thrive.'
The photo shocked social media users.
'Simple minded is too good a name for these vandals!' one woman said.
'What is wrong with people?' another asked.
'Shocking,' someone else said.
Police told Daily Mail Australia that they were unaware of the incident.
