Earlier, she was declared a foreigner in the Foreigners Tribunal. It is clear from this fact that people have failed to prove their citizenship despite having many documents.
In all this, questions were asked from PM Modi to prove his citizenship, and the Shubhankar government-imposed RTI. To this, the PMO replied that PM Modi is a citizen of India by birth.
Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi is born in India under section 3 of the Citizenship Act, 1955, so if he is a citizen of India then there is no question of asking him to prove his proof of citizenship.
Who is a citizen of India?
A citizen of India is one who was born in India between January 26, 1950, to July 1, 1987.
Must have been born in India from July 1, 1987, to the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2003 and any of the parents should be a citizen of India.
After the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2003, wherein-
Both parents are citizens of India.
One of the parents is a citizen of India and the other is not an illegal migrant.
