FALL RIVER — The Narrows Center for the Arts announces the following roster of events during the month of March.

Thursday, March 5; Todd Snider: Singer-songwriter extraordinaire Todd Snider returns to the Narrows stage. Insightful, poignant and funny as hell, Todd is touring in support of his new record, "Cash Cabin Sessions." Lilly Hiatt opens the show.

Friday, March 6; Bonerama: New Orleans-based brass funk-rock band Bonerama has always been hailed as "unlike anything you've ever heard before." Whether it's their inventive covers or funky, rocking originals, Bonerama is calling you to "Shake It Baby."

Saturday, March 7; Spindle City Fest: The first of 2020's Spindle City Fests will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spindle City Fest is all about art, music, food, fun, mind and body. It serves as an opportunity for Fall River and the surrounding communities to showcase what the area has to offer in the realms of art, entertainment, victuals, and creativity. There will be a free yoga class, an artisan market, holistic makers, beer tastings, and a live performance by Danielle M & The Glory Junkies. Participate in all of these events for free.

Saturday, March 7; Barnstar! with Special Guest Amy Helm: This local bluegrass supergroup, featuring some of Boston's best musicians and songwriters, forges its own brand of song-based bluegrass, gloriously harmonized and raucously played.

Thursday, March 12; Glen Phillips and Chris Barron: Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket and Chris Barron of Spin Doctors team up for a killer night of alt rock. Glen Phillips has always been a courageous and inviting songwriter. During his years as lead singer of Toad the Wet Sprocket, the band's elegant folk/pop sound and his honest, introspective lyrics helped them forge a close bond with their fans. Since starting his solo career, Phillips has pared his music down to its emotional core, concentrating on the simple truths of love and relationships, with a profound spiritual understanding. The zeitgeist is a moving target, and Chris Barron has always been a crack shot. The New York songwriter is no longer the debutante who set out on the circuit's sharp end in 1988 with $100, a battered acoustic and a headful of the alt-rock anthems that would elevate Spin Doctors to global stardom. He's a veteran approaching 50, living in a world changed beyond recognition, compelled to write the music that chronicles the here-and-now.

Friday, March 13; Robbie Fulks: Robbie Fulks is a singer, recording artist, instrumentalist, composer, and songwriter. His most recent release, 2017's "Upland Stories," earned year's-best recognition from NPR and Rolling Stone among many others, as well as two Grammy nominations, for folk album and American roots song ("Alabama At Night"). Lisa Bastoni opens the show.

Saturday, March 14; Kat Wright: Kat Wright, whose voice is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful; gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as "a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse." Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting.

Tuesday, March 17; Howard Jones - The Trio Tour: Howard Jones, who is most famous for his songs "Things Can Only Get Better," "No One Is To Blame," "What is Love?," and "Like To Get To Know You Well," will make his debut performance at the Narrows. Joining him on stage will be Nick Beggs (Kajagoogoo, Steve Hackett, John Paul Jones) on Chapman Stick and Robin Boult (Roger Daltrey, Dave Stewart) on guitar. Jones first burst upon the contemporary music scene in 1983, with his very English songwriting and pioneering synthesizers. His first two albums "Human's Lib" and DREAM INTO ACTION were worldwide hits. HUMAN'S LIB reached #1 in 1984 in the UK. Rachael Sage opens the show.

Friday, March 20; Pousette-Dart Band: Jon Pousette-Dart, leader of the Pousette-Dart band, is best known as an American classic and folk rock songwriter, musician, and performing artist. Growing up in Suffern, NY with a household of artists, including his father, grandfather, and sister, he separated himself by picking up a guitar at the age of 10 and mapping out a life in music before he ever attended a little league game. Since then it’s been a long and well-traveled road in the world of music.

Friday, March 27; The James Hunter Six: It's been 10 years since the Englishman James Hunter burst onto the scene with his U.S. debut People Gonna Talk (GO/Rounder 2006), topping the Billboard Blues chart, earning a Grammy-nomination, and attracting universal acclaim from critics and his fans -- including Van Morrison, Sharon Jones, and Allen Toussaint. Over the last decade, he's toured extensively around the world on the club, theatre, and festival circuits, steadily growing a dedicated audience comprised of hardened gig-goers, old-school baby boomers, and young hipsters alike.

Saturday, March 28; Journeyman - A Tribute to Eric Clapton: Join us in 2020 as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the legendary Layla album. This show will feature many songs from this historic record plus special guests! Shaun Hague has built quite the resume in the last decade of his life. At just 17, he was named "The Best Young Blues Guitarist" by The House of Blues and by 21, the young guitarist was playing guitar for blues phenom Kenny Wayne Shepherd. His career has also seen him sharing the stage with Amos Lee, John Waite, Terra Naomi, performing on Jay Leno and sitting in with John Fogerty. In honor of his biggest musical influence, Eric Clapton, Hague has been making waves with his Journeyman – A Tribute to Eric Clapton. The show provides a powerful performance of all aspects of Clapton's career from Bluesbreakers to From The Cradle!
