PUNE: Pune rural police in the early hours of Monday arrested a 22-year-old man at Ale Phata, 93km from here, who had fired two rounds after firing two rounds when the woman he was stalking for the past two years, refused to talk with him. No one sustained injuries in the firing.
The incident happened on Sunday around 10pm at Jambut phata near
Narayangaon about 82km from here. “The woman also alleged in her FIR that the suspect
Akshay Dandavate Shirur also had put the
pistol to her head and attempted to kill her by pulling the trigger thrice,”

inspector of the Narayangaon police told TOI.
Ghode Patil said that the suspect was nabbed near Ale Phata by a police team led by inspector T Y Mujawar. “We have recovered the pistol from him. We are probing from the suspect Dandavate had procured the country-made pistol,” Ghode Patil said.
On Sunday night she was returning home with her friend, when the suspect stopped her. He told her that he wanted to talk with her. “The woman however refused to talk to him and took out her cellphone to call her mother. Following which the suspect took out a pistol from his jerkin and fired one round towards the round and one in the air,” Ghode Patil said.
