Dr.Mario Hardy, PATA CEO  today addressed PATA members about the cancellation.

This was in discussion and in deliberation with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA)  and the PATA Executive Board.

Keeping in mind the safety and well-being of their member, industry colleagues and local communities and the mission of PATA as a catalyst in responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region the difficult decision was taken.

To welcome all members and delegated to Ras Al Khaimah, PATA was excited and the meetings and discussions with the host ensured that it would be a successful event if the current situation did not take place.

RAKTDA has agreed to host the PATA Annual Summit 2021 and  in the due time the dates for next year’s event will be announced.

delegates who had paid the registration fee or purchased tickets for the PATA Foundation Charity Dinner will have the option of transferring the registration fees and or the Charity Dinner ticket fee to the PATA Annual Summit 2021 or receive a full refund.

In the coming weeks details for the members inquiring about the PATA Executive Board, Board and Category and Advisory Committees and the Annual General Meeting will be communicated.

PATA encourages all industry stakeholders to remain calm and stay vigilant and take proper precautions whenever necessary.

It is important to gather all proper facts and information before measuring an appropriate and responsible response.
