
2020 Hyundai Creta: 5 Things You Need To Know

Set to be launched on March 17, Hyundai has now announced that it has opened bookings for the second iteration of its popular midsize SUV, the 2020 Creta. If you’ve been eyeing the car ever since it was showcased at Auto Expo 2020, you can now book one now for a token amount of Rs 25,000 at your nearest Hyundai dealer or through the official website. The 2020 Creta will be offered in five variants: E, EX, S, SX and SX(O). It’ll be offered with three BS6 engine options and four transmission choices. Interestingly, the automatic transmission will now be offered in the top-spec SX (O) trim, which is something Hyundai has shied away from in the past. Hyundai has also revealed the new Creta's production-spec interior via multiple images. The design looks similar to the sketches revealed by the company a few weeks ago. The central console comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system and the climate control knobs sit right below it. Other highlights include a chunky 4-spoke steering wheel.
In terms of features, the 2020 Creta comes with a panoramic sunroof, BlueLink connected car technology, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, a wireless charging pad, a premium Bose sound system,drive modes as well as a digital instrument display. As for safety, the new Creta could get upto six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, electronic stability control as well as an electronic parking brake.

The new Creta is expected to be priced above the existing model which starts from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, the Tata Harrier as well as a slew of SUVs from Renault and Nissan.
