A hotel worker with a fetish for underwear has been hauled before the courts after he was busted with more than a thousand pairs he stole from women and teenagers after breaking into their rooms.

Sutan Achmed Daniel Al Hamilton was found with 1,047 pairs of underwear and bras in his granny flat in Rosebery in Sydney.

The 37-year-old stole most of the items while employed by the Ibis Hotel in World Square and Rydges Hotel in Mascot as a maintenance worker and subcontracted painter.

Hamilton had unrestricted access to all rooms in both hotels and stole undergarments from eight female victims including three teenagers between November 2017 and October 2019.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of break, enter and steal with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Hamilton reportedly claimed he bought all the underwear from pantydeal.com or 'from females in person.'

Police facts in Downing Centre Court stated that 'all if not the majority of the 1,047 pairs of female underwear were the proceeds of crime.'

Hamilton was found on one occasion crouching behind a bed while trying to hide stolen underwear in October 2019.

Online records found that Hamilton had found at least four of his female victims on social media.
