CHENNAI: About 72% of homebuyers in Chennai prefer small developers for cost arbitrage, a survey has revealed.
According to ANAROCK’s Consumer Sentiment Survey - LIC for the half of 2019, respondents were asked whether they prefer to pay a premium and buy property with a branded player or instead go with a smaller developer to save on extra cost.
A whopping 72% of buyers in Chennai responded that they still prefer small developers for the cost arbitrage.
The survey was conducted on various parameters in seven major cities and tier I and II cities across the country. At national level, the survey asserted that 52% homebuyers prefer branded developers even if they charge a premium.
