NEW DELHI: Two more positive cases of coronavirus were detected in India on Monday. One case was detected in New Delhi, while the other was from Telangana.
The person from Delhi has travel history from Italy, where the virus has killed 41 people, the worst in Europe. The person in Telangana travelled recently from Dubai, according to a PIB release.
Both patients are stable and being closely monitored.
Last month, three positive cases were detected in Kerala. All three patients have recovered and were discharged from hospital. All three had tested positive for coronavirus upon their return from Wuhan, where the outbreak started.
The global toll has surpassed 3,000 after more deaths were reported from epicentre China. About 88,000 positive cases have been reported worldwide. Iran is the worst hit after China. The Islamic Republic has reported about 54 deaths, so far.
