Kanpur: A 45-year-old man, who had been missing since Friday, was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances in Parampurwa area of Juhi in the city on Saturday.
Police rushed to the spot along with forensic experts, and after conducting preliminary investigations, sent the
body for the postmortem examination.
The family members of the victim have, however, alleged that he was murdered and then hanged from a tree. Police said they are awaiting the postmortem report and investigations are underway in the matter.
Inspector Juhi, Santosh Arya said, “Deceased, Ram Krishna, a daily wager and a resident of Tyre Mandi, had been missing since Friday evening after he went out to work. His family members have alleged that he was murdered and then hanged from a tree. The autopsy report will confirm the reason of the man's death.” Ram Krishna is survived by wife Guddi, four daughters and a son.
