Gold biscuits worth over Rs 50 lakh seized at Visakhapatnam airport

VISAKHAPATNAM: In a major haul, customs officials of the Visakhapatnam international airport seized 10 gold biscuits weighing 1,166 grams worth Rs 51.5 lakh on Saturday.
According to reports, the gold was seized from two passengers who had arrived in Visakhapatnam from Dubai via Hyderabad.
The passengers, identified as Noorul Huda and Rafaqat Ali, have been arrested.
Sources informed that the passengers are from Uttar Pradesh. While one of the passengers boarded the flight in Dubai, another boarded in Hyderabad. The gold was exchanged in the flight on the way to Visakhapatnam.
