Whats's your lucky Holi colour? Planets to tell you

PRAYAGRAJ: Holi is round the corner and city-based religious scholars are flooded with queries from revellers seeking to know what colour suits them the best based on their zodiac signs and vedic astrology.
Pundits claim the auspicious muhurt for Holika Dahan is between 6.02pm and 8.29pm on March 9 this year, as the festival of colours will see powerful planets Jupiter and Saturn in their respective positions. Choosing colours based on planetary positions can ward off evil, they chorus.
According to noted astrologer Ashutosh Varshney, the role of the navgraha (nine planets) in our horoscope governs our birth, how we spend our life, death and beyond.
“The nine planets are also emitters or reflectors of rays of different colours. If a person is facing a rough patch under Saturn, also known as Shani shadeshati (difficult period of 7.5 years), then he or she must play Holi with black and blue. These colours offer a healing touch for worries, stress and anxiety,” Varshney explained.
The astrologer maintained that those “affected by Saturn” should avoid red because the colour stands for Saturn’s enemies, the Sun and the planet Mars.
On the other hand, those who are born Aries or Scorpio, must play Holi with red because in their case, it will discard ill effects of Mangal or Mars, their governing planet. Similarly, Taurians and Librans, ruled by Venus, should go for shiny white to ward off the evil influence of Shukra (Venus).
Gemini and Virgo, ruled by Mercury, should go green this Holi to buffer the negative influence of Budh (Mercury) in their horoscope.
Cancer is ruled by the moon. Those undergoing a bad phase in their horoscope must use white. Leo, on the other hand, is ruled by the sun. Hence, red and orange are very favourable.
Sagittarians and Pisceans, ruled by Jupiter, should go for yellow and golden that symbolise the virtues of Brihaspati (Jupiter). Those aspiring to earn the virtues of the planet should use yellow in abundance, the expert suggested.
Capricorn and Aquarius are once again ruled by Saturn. Hence, black and blue in any form will earn the goodwill of Shani (Saturn) for those who are affected by the planet’s unfavourable position in their horoscope.
Mixing colours in water, used for filling balloons during Holi, will win Rahu to your side while mixing two colours at the same time while playing will facilitate the blessings of Ketu, the astrologer added.
