PATNA: The
East Central Railway (ECR) has will run four more Holi special trains on different routes to cope with the huge rush of passengers during the festive season.
According to ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar, the first train (09417/09418) between Ahmedabad and
Patna will leave Ahmedabad at 7.55pm on March 7 and reach the Patna Junction at 8.45am on March 9.
“On its return journey, the train will leave Patna at 11.45am on March 9 and reach Ahmedabad at 10.20pm on March 10. It will run via the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction-Prayagraj-Kanpur-Agra Fort-Kota route with a load combination of 22 coaches,” the CPRO told this newspaper on Saturday and added that the special train would stop at Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Allahabad, Kanpur, Tundla, Agra Fort, Bayana, Hindaun City, Gangapur, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Nagda, Ratlam and Nadiad.
The railways will also run a superfast Humsafar Express (09031/09032) between Barauni and Bandra via the Hajipur-Patliputra Junction-Danapur-Ara-Buxar-Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction route. It will leave Bandra at 12.55pm on March 3 and reach Barauni at 2.30am on March 5. On its return journey, it will leave Barauni at 5.55am on March 5 and reach Bandra at 5.35pm the next day.
The CPRO said, “The railways will run another superfast Humsafar Express (09029/09030) between Bandra and Gaya Junction via the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction-Sasaram-Dehri-on-Sone route. It will leave Bandra at 5.10am on March 7 and reach Gaya at 2pm the following day. On its return journey, it will leave Gaya at 5pm on March 8 and reach Bandra at 12.25am on March 10.”
Likewise, a special train (08295/08296) will also run between Durg and the Patna Junction. “The train will leave Durg at 4.15pm on March 8 and reach the Patna Junction at 11.45am the next day. On its return journey, it will leave Patna at 12.45pm on March 11 and reach Durg at 10.30am the next day,” the CPRO said.
The ECR has already announced that special trains will run on the Patna-Pune, Bhagalpur-Gandhidham, Anand Vihar-Gaya, Patna-Anand Vihar and Barauni-New Delhi routes during Holi.
Railways extends run of 2 trains: The railways has extended the run of the Jamalpur-Saharsa special (05521/05522) and Raghunathpur-Buxar MEMU (03219/03220) till August 31 and September 1, respectively.
