Gujarat: Principal accused of molesting girl student in school

PALANPUR: The principal of Kundol Primary School in Banaskantha district allegedly molested a girl student of Class VIII. Though the alleged crime occurred on Wednesday, the matter came to light only on Saturday when deputy primary education officer, Aravalli, inspected the school.
According to the case details, accused principal Kirit Patel had called the girl along with three to four other girls to his chamber. He asked the other girls to leave the room before allegedly outraging her modesty and demanded sex.
Deputy primary education officer, Aravalli, Samir Patel said, “I have taken statements of the survivor and the other students of the school and have sent my report to the director of Gujarat panchayati seva, Gandhinagar. If found guilty, the authorities will decide on further course of action against the principal.”
The parents of the survivor have not yet lodged a police complaint in this connection.
