Woman beats six-month-old to death after husband refuses new clothes for Holi

AGRA: A 25-year-old woman allegedly beat her six-month-old daughter to death in Aligarh’s Rampus village on Saturday after her husband refused to buy her and the children new clothes for Holi. The woman, Pinky Sharma, has been arrested by the police.
According to police, the incident took place last evening when Pinky’s husband Rahul, refused to go to market to buy new clothes for her and the children, as he was feeling unwell. They allegedly argued with each other and later Pinky took out her frustration on her daughter, Soni, and thrashed her badly, leading to her death.
Rahul lodged a police complaint against Pinky and has been booked under Section 302 (murder) of IPC at Jawan police station.
Talking to TOI, Jawan police station incharge, Naresh Kumar Singh, said that Pinky told police that she did not do it intentionally. She was frustrated with domestic issues and constant arguments with her husband every day. On Saturday, she took out her frustration on her daughter but she did not know that she would die.
Pinky got married to Rahul four years ago and they have a 3-year-old son Rishabh too. Rahul works as a labour in a lock factory.
