PATNA: Police on Saturday raided a flat at Pranjal Apartment on West Boring Canal Road under the Sri Krishnapuri police station area here and arrested Balwant Kumar Singh, president of a primary agriculture cooperative society (PACS), and three others while they were enjoying a liquor party.
Singh is the president of Bikramganj PACS in Rohtas district. The three other arrested people were identified as Sanjay Upadhyay, Dilip Kumar Mishra and Deepak Prakash, all residents of Bikramganj.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided flat number 106 of the apartment around 1pm. Singh was staying at the flat as tenant.
SHO of Sri Krishnapuri police station Neeraj Kumar Singh said an empty liquor bottle was seized from spot. “The four were in an inebriated condition. Breathalyzer tests also confirmed that they were drunk,” he said.
