Three Sirhaul toll plaza lanes to be shifted

GURUGRAM: Three lanes of the MCD toll plaza at Sirhaul will be shifted towards the Delhi side in a couple of weeks to facilitate the construction of the Ambience Mall underpass, NHAI officials said.
For the final stage of construction of the U-shaped underpass, a portion of the land on the Jaipur-Delhi side of the expressway has to be dug up and kept out of bounds for traffic.
For this, lanes 2 and 3 will be partially affected, and lanes 4, 5, and 6 will be completely disrupted.
"The change will be temporary, said an official at RK Contractor, NHAI's contractor for the project.
In a recent meeting the highways authority raised a request regarding this with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
SDMC confirmed that they've received NHAI's request and claimed that they have agreed to provide necessary support. "There few things that need to be decided on the modalities of the shifting and once that is worked out, things will move forward," an SDMC official told TOI.
