West Bengal: Four Bangladeshi nationals sent to jail for a year

KOLKATA: Four Bangladeshi nationals arrested under the Foreigners Act were sentenced to a year's imprisonment on Thursday by a city court.
They were arrested from Sealdah last year after they failed to provide any valid document for their stay in India.
According to sources, four persons - Md Sahidul Islam, Md Rabiul Islam, Noor Zaman and Md Salim - were spotted in front of the Big Bazar in Sealdah last April. When police started to question them, they found that none of them had any valid document.
During interrogation, they confessed to have entered India through Petrapol border with the help of handlers. None of them had any document for their legal stay in the country. During searches, cops found some other incriminating documents from them.
