project report of Jaipur
Metro Phase II from
Sitapura to
Ambabari is ready and the work will start soon.
He asserted to make and execute the long-term planning of connecting Jaipur Metro upto Chomu-Bassi-Bagru and Chaksu.
Gehlot slammed the BJP-led government at the Centre for not providing enough financial aid to the state in various projects and urged the MLAs of BJP to put collective efforts in pursuing the issue.
While giving the budget reply at the state legislative assembly, Gehlot also made some announcements for medical, health and other departments. The new announcements included – creating 2,000 new posts of medical officers, setting up of 4D sonography machines at the medical colleges situated in district headquarters, starting of bike ambulance services for the Walled City and Jodhpur as pilot project.
“We have prepared the project report for the Jaipur Metro Phase II from Sitapura to Ambabari and will start the work soon. Also, we are aiming at connecting various parts of Jaipur, especially its outskirts including
Bassi, Bagru,
Chomu and Chaksu with metro as we have to plan and anticipate to the need of Jaipur after 25 years,” Gehlot said.
He added that people in the state have welcomed the ‘Saat Sankalp (seven pledge) taken by the government in the budget. “MLAs of opposition alleged that we have not done much in our governance so far. Let me clarify that we brought our budget in July, 2019, and since then we are working for various projects in the right direction,” he added.
He questioned why the Centre is giving merely 50% in various projects. “The previous BJP government has ruined our planning for the refinery in its five years of governance. It was a joint venture of the Union and state governments,” he added.
Meanwhile, Gulab Chand Kataria, leader of opposition, termed the state budget just a jugglery of figures. “Except for medical and health, you have not enhanced the budget and people in the state have been misled. Many of the announcements are old,” he said.
