Seven thieves held with 60 smartphones

PRAYAGRAJ: Seven members of an inter-state gang of mobile thieves were arrested on Thursday.
The accused used to target people in guest houses, temples, wedding halls homes, and bus stations. Police have seized 60 mobile phones from them.
The accused were identified as Krishna Sonkar of Reewa, Rocky of Bhopal, Deepak Pawar of Aurangabad, Arun Chauhan of Bihar, HariOm of Vidhisha, Hira Adivasi of Jhansi and Randhir of Ghurpur (Prayagraj).
SSP (Prayagraj) Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj said, “We were tipped off about the whereabouts of the seven members of a Ghumantu gang . We got to know that they were spotted roaming near Baihrana power house road, looking for targets. We cordoned off the area and arrested them.”
