PANAJI: Featuring artistes of national and international repute in the field of classical dance, the 26th edition of Nupur, a classical dance festival jointly organised by Kala Academy, Goa, and the West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur, will be held from February 28 to March 1 at Mardol. The event will commence at 7pm on all days in the precincts of Mahalasa Devasthan, Mardol.
on February 28, a Bharatanatyam dance will be presented by students of Nruthyalaya School of Dance and Music, Margao under the guidance of Guru Durgalakshmi Rajan. This will be followed by Mohiniattam solo by Ayswaria Wariar from Vadodara after which a Kuchipudi solo dance by Bhavana Reddy from New Delhi will be presented.
On February 29, a Bharatanatyam solo concert at 7 pm will be followed by a Kathak performance.
On the concluding day, on March 1, Rekha Madkaikar and group of Pranam foundation academy of dance and music, Ponda will present Kathak in group choreography. The festival will conclude with Vilasini Natyam by Purva Dhanasree, followed by Odissi dance by Madhulita Mohapatra and artists of Nrityantar, Bengaluru.
