AFL Bushfire Relief state of origin match | Victoria v All Stars at Marvel Stadium

Peter Ryan's view of the first half

This is what caught Peter Ryan's eye in the first half:

"The game is all-exhibition with the ball movement quick and the pressure virtually non-existent. Dustin Martin is the player the crowd has come to watch with the volume in the stadium lifting every time he goes near the football.

The left feet of Marcus Bontempelli, Josh Kelly and Scott Pendlebury have been sublime but the end to end football doesn't exactly get the heart racing.

The biggest highlight of the half was provided by Sydney Swans defender Callum Mills as he sat on the head of his Swans' teammate Tom Papley.

Unfortunately he dropped the mark. Jeremy Howe's knee cannoned into the back of Toby Greene's head as he flew for a screamer. The players are having a good time and plenty of money has been raised to help bushfire-affected communities"

HT: All-Stars 9.14 (68) to Victoria 10.2 (62)

Strong finish from the Vics after a ripping start from the All-Stars.

Lots of winners, lots of free flowing footy and more fun to come in the second half!

Vics goal again!

Damien Hardwick won't want half time to come!

The Vics have had Josh Kelly snap another goal and the lead is now under a goal! Everything is coming up Victoria....All-Stars up 67-62, almost half time.

Pendlebury class, Kelly goals!

Such class from Scott Pendlebury who steps in one direction, fakes out his defenders and then stabs a left-foot kick in to the hands of GWS star Josh Kelly who goals from straight in front.

Wouldn't Eddie love to have those two players in Collingwood colours....the All-Stars lead by 10 points.

Vics are back in it

North ruckman Todd Goldstein picks up a difficult ball at his feet and fires off a handful to GWS star Toby Greene who kicks the goal with Victoria cutting the margin to 60-49 with half time fast approaching....

It's cool to see different stars teaming up this game....

Breust goals! All-Stars are flying!

The All-Stars look a far more comfortable, cohesive group so far and they are showing it on the scoreboard.

Nicely woven together move saw the ball push into the forward line where Hawthorn star Luke Breust marked and goaled.

Victoria just responded with Marcus Bontempelli kicking a classy goal.

All-Stars up 59-43 with 21 minutes gone in the second term....

That's using your head!

Lachie Neale has just tried to receive a handball in the forward 50 only to have it him him in the forehead, land in his hands and he then kicked truly for a goal.

All-Stars up 51-37 second quarter....

Dusty goals, Coniglio does too

If ever there is a footballer made for this kind of game, it's Dusty Martin and the Richmond superstar has just booted his second goal after a quiet start to the second term....

Soon after Brodie Grundy has then knocked down a hit out to Coniglio who boots his second goal!

All-Stars up 37-31.
