Nickel futures slide on low demand

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Nickel prices on Thursday fell by 20 paise to Rs 904.90 per kg in futures trade as speculators trimmed their positions amid weak demand at spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for February delivery fell by 20 paise, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 904.90 per kg with a business turnover of 2 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for March delivery dropped by Rs 5.80, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 908.90 per kg in 2,106 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand at spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here.
