The 28-year-old joined the Hurricanes from the Sharks ahead of the 2020 season, but suffered an injury during pre-season which delayed his debut.
The Hurricanes will be without fullback Jordie Barrett, who has been given an extended break, and hooker Dan Coles, due to a calf injury.
Saturday's match at McLean Park is scheduled for 05:45 (SA time).
