MANGALURU:
Varanashi organic farms,
Adyanadka, in collaboration with
Ajji Mane Event Solutions, will organise a three-day Jataka Flow Fest at Varanashi Organic farms, about 51 kilometers from Mangaluru, from Saturday. The festival will feature artists, athletes, and performers from across India. They have also invited known environmentally-conscious people to share their insights.
"About 150 participants are expected to participate, and various events such as skateboarding,
yoga,
climbing,
break-dancing,
nature connect, slacklining, swimming and watersports will be held, and the community will share and gather insightful and like-minded views, said
Siddharth Santhanam, founder, Jataka.
Partha Varanashi from Varanashi farms said: "Flow is the mental state in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Jataka movement fest is a gathering of flow artists, action and adventure sports people, professional sports athletes, and coaches with a touch of environmental connection and sustainable lifestyle speakers."
Jataka movement fest is a unique gathering where skills will be shared between people from different disciplines. It is also an opportunity for the professional athletes to understand how flow artists as well as action and adventure sports athletes, improve their performance much faster. The fundamental key for achieving higher performance in any sport is to improve one’s agility, stability, mobility and flexibility along with higher body control. The festival has over 16 workshops which will help the athlete or participant to improve the above five key aspects, Partha said.
“The more we connect with nature, the more we understand about our body and mind. The nature connect workshop will be taken up by the legendary Paul Rosolie and Gowri Varanashi, who have spent their time in the Peruvian Amazon and Indian rainforests, learning about nature and protecting it,” Partha said.
Varanashi farms is an ideal space for a unique movement-centric event like Jataka. It is a 400-year-old farm which has been curated with such passion and consciousness, where nature is celebrated wholly.
