Varanasi: The fourth day of the inter-faculty youth cultural festival Spandan-2020 commenced with beautifully coordinated, rhythmic moves of participants at the creative dance competition held at the Amphitheatre stage on Wednesday.
As many as 23 participants presented their innovative performances based on several prevalent social issues. A classical solo dance competition was also held at Pandit Omkarnath Thakur Auditorium. Students from over 23 faculties gave performances in classical dance forms including Odissi, Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam and Kathak.
A quiz competition was also held at the department of Journalism and Mass Communication in which six groups, each having three members, competed.
A sketch competition was held at the faculty of visual arts in which 23 participants took part while a poetry recitation was held at the Institute of Medical Science and a collage competition was held at the Exhibition Hall, department of visual arts. Eleven teams took part in short play competition at Swatantrata Bhawan. Other events held on the day included mimicry, classical vocal solo and western group song competition.
