Surat: The diamond city is set to witness its first-ever four-day exhibition on building materials at Sarsana from February 28.
The ambitious ‘Mega Build Expo-2020’, organised by Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), aims to promote green building concept in the city’s real estate sector. To be held at the Surat International Convention and Exhibition Centre (SIECC), it will showcase unique building techniques and latest building material based on green concept for real estate industry.
According to the SGCCI office-bearers, the exhibition hopes to influencing visitors’ aesthetic sense with new designs and features for living spaces and also attract those intending to construct their dream home at cost-effective prices.
About 144 exhibitors from Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Morbi, Valsad, Silvassa, Haryana, Himmatnagar, Gurgaon, Mumbai among many other places will display their products — ranging from hardware, ceramics, home automation, furnishing, to insulation, paints, maintenance equipment, power tools, etc.
President of SGCCI, Ketan Desai said, “This is the first-ever exhibition dedicated to the real estate sector of the city. The exhibition will have modern and state-of-the-art products for the construction industry as well as the general public wanting to add new designs and products to their living spaces.”
Devesh Patel, chairman of the exhibition said, “We have given a special focus on green building products including solar and water harvesting. This event will give buying groups, retailers, interior designers, architects an opportunity to liaise and place orders, learn the latest industry developments and network with their peers.”
