Chaat vendor shot dead in Shivpur

Varanasi: A chaat vendor was shot dead near Pisaur village under Shivpur police station area on Tuesday night.
According to police, Kamlesh Yadav (55) of Chandauli ran a shop of chaat and lassi near Pisaur bridge. He had gone to attend a marriage ceremony in Pisaur village on Tuesday night. Kamlesh’s son Sheru Yadav also went to the village and asked his father to go back. Later, while returning home, Sheru found his father lying in roadside bushes with serious injuries. He rushed Kamlesh to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya district hospital where doctors declared him dead. SP (city) Dinesh Kumar Singh said the deceased sustained gunshot injury. During preliminary probe, it came to light that he had an altercation with some locals.
