Celestyal Cruises, the main cruise operator of Greek origin, has been garlanded for its itinerary “3 continents” in the thirteenth edition of the Cruise Excellence Awards. These awards are orchestrated by Cruises News Media Group and are decided as a result of the votes given by national cruise passengers and travel agencies in the national territory.
“3 continents” of Celestyal Cruises, chosen as the best 2019 itinerary in this edition of the Cruise Excellence Awards, is a spectacular itinerary that visits exotic and incredible destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa on the same trip, a unique adventure on a 7-day cruise with cruise calls in 7 different destinations taking in 4 countries and 3 different continents with great archaeological, religious and cultural content.
The Excellence Cruise Awards are a CruisesNews Media Group brand, organiser of the International Cruise Summit in Madrid and editor of CruisesNews magazine. The ceremony of this edition took place in A Coruna during an entertaining gala attended by about 300 guests, an event that brought together the chief executives of the cruise line companies, cruise tour operators, consignees, ports and destinations, travel agents, collaborators, professionals, business managers and other suppliers of the cruise industry.
The award was collected by Noelia Dominguez, Country Manager Spain, Portugal and Latin America, who, after congratulating all the winners, commented. “We are very excited to receive this prestigious award and we would like to thank both the voters and the organizers of this wonderful event.” And she added “For Celestyal Cruises, this itinerary was the first strategic step to extend the company's cruise season and offer alternatives throughout the year, with a really positive response from partners and passengers in 2019.”
“In addition, we are very satisfied with the fact that this itinerary contributes to sustainable tourism; our guests are discovering the benefits of visiting this area in the months when the weather is still very pleasant, the destinations are less crowded and they can enjoy in depth the culture and history on the 3 continents itinerary, while helping change the perception that the eastern Mediterranean is a summer-only destination.”
