14-year-old girl abducted, drugged, raped in Muzaffarnagar

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 19-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly abducting a 14-year-old from her house, drugged her and then raped her.
According to survivor’s uncle, the minor was abducted while she was sleeping at home on Sunday night. When the family woke up and they found her missing and launched a search for her. They found her in a field near a tubewell in a semi conscious condition. A local, identified as Mohsin, was found with her in a state of undress.
The man said, “We captured Mohsin from the spot and handed him over to police.”
Police sent the girl to the district hospital for a medical examination and also registered a case against the accused under various IPC sections, including 376 (rape). The accused has been sent to jail, said Satpal Anti, superintendent of police. “A case has been registered in the matter and further investigation is on. Action will be taken accordingly,” he added.
The victim and her family alleged that two other unidentified men were with Mohsin when she was being raped. The two have fled the spot. The family has demanded immediate arrest of the duo. Ajay Kumar, station house officer of the Shikera police station, said, “Further investigation is on.”
