Trade fair to conclude today

PIMPRI: Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute and the Union Ministry of MSME have organised a three-day National Trade Fair cum National Vendor Development Programme at the Auto Cluster in Chinchwad here.

The trade fair is being held from February 24-26.

Pramod Chaudhari, Founder-Chairman of Praj Industries Limited, who inaugurated the trade fair, said that trade fairs are critical, so that vendors and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises can showcase their products to their buyers.

In his keynote address, AR Gokhe, Director, MSME Development Institute, briefed on various schemes launched by the Union Ministry of MSMEs for strengthening the segment.

Also present were Prashant Girbane, Director General, MCCIA and Deepak Karandikar, Chairperson, MSME committee, MCCIA.

Altogether, 130 companies from the advanced manufacturing, electric vehicles and E-Mobility, innovation and startups, vendor development with defence and public sector undertakings are participating in the trade fair. The trade fair provides an opportunity to network with sourcing officials from PSUs, MNCs and companies having orders from the defence sector.

Awareness sessions were also held on product/ outsourcing requirements, quality requirements, vendor development process of large companies and PSUs, new technologies available in the market, future business development opportunities and regulatory framework.

There will be free concurrent technical sessions/ seminars during the exposition.
