CAA stir: Case against eight students in Thanjavur

THANJAVUR: Police have registered a case against 8 students of Rajah Serfoji Government Arts College in Thanjavur on charges of blocking the road while protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act recently. Of the 8 students, 5 of them are third-year students while the rest are studying in the second year.
According to police, the case was registered against the students for causing inconvenience to the public while holding a protest on December 16, 2019. The college administration was also intimidated of the action. When contacted the police refused to divulge details of the cases registered.
