Rare Dodge Viper-Based VLF Force 1 V10 Built For Henrik Fisker Is Up For Sale

We haven’t heard much from VLF lately, but one of the company’s rare Force 1 V10 coupes has gone up for sale.

Listed by Canepa, this particular model is a 2018 Force 1 V10 which was reportedly built for Henrik Fisker. As you may recall, Fisker designed the car and is the ‘F’ in VLF moniker – the other letters standing for Gilbert Villarreal and Bob Lutz.

Since developing a brand-new car is expensive and time consuming, the team decided to base the Force 1 V10 on the Dodge Viper. While the platform carries over, the car has been extensively modified and features unique carbon fiber bodywork. This wasn’t done just for the sake of style as the use of carbon fiber enables the model to weigh less than 3,400 lbs (1,542 kg).

The changes continue in the cabin as the car has quilted leather seats and Alcantara upholstery. Drivers will also find carbon fiber trim, a modified steering wheel and familiar switchgear.

While the Viper’s 8.4-liter V10 engine was already a beast, VLF decided to make it even more potent. Thanks to modified cylinder heads and a new camshaft, the Force 1 V10 produced 745 hp (556 kW / 755 PS) and 638 lb-ft (865 Nm) of torque.

The engine was connected to a standard six-speed manual transmission which enabled the car to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in three seconds and onto a top speed of 218 mph (351 km/h). The model can also run the quarter mile in 10.97 seconds at 136.88 mph (220.29 km/h).

VLF originally intended to produce 50 models, but the listing says only five were actually built. That makes the Force 1 V10 incredibly rare and that’s even before you consider the Fisker connection to this particular model.
