NCC microlight crashes on take off from Patiala, pilot killed

NEW DELHI: An NCC microlight crashed soon after taking off from Patiala on Monday, killing the pilot and injuring the cadet on board. “The microlight aircraft crashed at about 1.05 pm, immediately on take off most likely due to engine failure Group Captain G S Cheema lost his life in the crash. Cadet Vipin Yadav of Govt Mahindra College Patiala has got spinal injury. He has no movement in lower limbs and is being to other hospital from Patiala,” said a senior official.
