Hubballi: Miscreants write 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans on school’s wall

HUBBALLI: Even the issue of three Kashmiri students of KLE Institute of Technology raising pro-Pakistan slogans is still fresh in the minds of residents of Hubballi, some miscreants wrote “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan with chalk piece on the walls of a primary school in Budarsinghi village, 6 kms from Hubballi.
The graffiti came to the notice of public on Monday morning as the school was reopened after Sunday’s holiday. Hubballi rural police, DySP Ravi Nayak, Tahsildar Kundgol, School Development Monitoring Committee members visited the school and inquired about the incident.
The police found that the miscreants wrote "Pakistan Zindabad" and "Tipu Sultan School" on three walls of the school.
The villagers staged a flash protest in the village condemning the incident. They demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants. The police pacified the angry mob and assured them that they would arrest the accused at the earliest.
The police asked the headmaster of the school and SDMC members to give a written complaint, said inspector of Hubballi Rural station Jackson D’Souza. They are planning to register a case under section 153(a) and 153(b) against the unknown miscreants. The Hubballi Rural police yet to register a case, he said.
