1. Lie flat on your back, take a deep breath and lift your legs up.

2. Bring both your knees close to your chest and hold your big toes.

3. Draw your shoulders toward the ground, tone your arms and flex your feet as you pull down on your feet.

4. Tuck your chin into your chest and make sure your head is on the floor.

5. Breathe normally and hold the pose for about 30 seconds to a minute.

This pose is known as the Adho Mukha Svanasana in Sanskrit. If you are not in a mood to leave the bed or go to work, be rest assured that this yoga pose will work like a charm to pep you up. An ideal stress buster, metabolically invigorating, this asana stimulates blood flow to the head and improves circulation. It also helps soothe the nervous system.

Here is how you can do it:

1.Come onto the floor on your hands and knees. Remember that your knees should be directly under the hips and your wrists should be underneath the shoulders.

2.Exhale and lift your knees away from the floor.

3. Make sure that you keep your spine straight.

4. Distribute your body weight evenly and pay attention that your hips and shoulders are positioned correctly.

5.With the chin tucked in a little, your head should be in line with the arms.

6.Stay in this position for 1-3 minutes.
