The most-wanted shoes and handbags from the Bottega Veneta AW20 runway

From fringed clutch bags to supersized totes, cowboy boots and neon clogs — here’s your close-up look at the latest accessories instalment from creative director Daniel Lee

Bottega Veneta's AW20 show in Milan saw a gathering of Daniel Lee’s most die-hard fans — Sigourney Weaver, Dev Hynes and Tessa Thompson among them — who all made the most of the springtime sunshine currently drenching Italy’s fashion capital. Weaver paired the house’s prized mocha trench coat with a crisp white shirt for the apotheosis of transeasonal chic.

It’s not just the A-list cohorts who have fallen hard for what Instagram has coined the ‘New Bottega Veneta’. Since Lee’s appointment as creative director in July 2018, the fashion industry itself has found a new 24/7 uniform in the house’s quilted silk coats, cuddly clutch bags and square-toe heels. We’ll let you browse Vogue’s latest street-style instalment for further proof.

The big question: What’s in store for AW20? Kick flares, acres of fringing and lashings of acid green are set to reimagine your autumn wardrobe. This was also a collection that didn't scrimp on after-hours inspiration, namely a particularly covetable pair of bedazzled straight-leg jeans.

Today Lee also heralded a fresh tranche of trophy accessories, including a new power boot that remixes the classic cowboy silhouette, sumptuous top handle doctors bags, supersized messenger totes and an unlikely blockbuster hit — the neon clog.

Here’s Vogue’s edit of the accessories highlights, spotted on Bottega Veneta’s AW20 runway.
