Technology provider Peakwork has just received the NDC Level 3 certification from IATA. With this New Distribution Capability (NDC), airlines have greater opportunities for differentiated product presentation when searching for and booking flights. IATA provides the only official industry certification program in support of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard, the NDC Certification Program. On 4 February 2020, Peakwork AG was granted “NDC Certification” Level 3 status, under the NDC Certification Program. This status recognizes that Peakwork AG uses Offer and Order management messages whose schemas are compliant with the standard NDC message schema, version 17.2.
Peakwork operates direct connections to numerous airlines, consolidators and flight brokers, providing access to the world of tour operators, packaging and distribution via the Peakwork Leisure Travel Network. A large number of these connections already support the NDC format, in different versions of the standard. Tour operators can benefit from more attractive prices offered by the airlines, as well as the ability to offer optional services such as luggage or seat reservations as part of a package tour, either included or separately. Airlines can distribute their offers in NDC format with additional services via the Peakwork Leisure Network. This flexibility and additional revenue stream are made possible by NDC via a standardized interface.
