Lucknow: BBA student arrested for gangrape in Chinhat

LUCKNOW: A third-year BBA student of a private university was arrested on Sunday in connection with the gang rape of a 25-year-old woman in Chinhat late on Saturday.
The woman, in her complaint, said she was drugged and raped by four men after she met now arrested accused Gurbagh Singh who had apparently promised her a job.
Chinhat SHO Sachin Singh said the woman first met Gurbagh in October last year. "She was influenced by him and he probably lured her with the promise of a job. He called her to his place (on Saturday), where he and his friends gang-raped her after she was drugged," the officer said.
The SHO added that police were probing the role of others in the incident.
