A furious mother claims her 12-year-old daughter found an inch-long nail inside a strawberry purchased at Woolworths.
Suzy claims her daughter made the shocking discovery after cutting into the fruit she bought at the supermarket's Parra Hills store in Adelaide's northern suburbs.
She told 7news she and her daughter, Sylvia, had been taking an extra precautions since 2018 when hundreds of strawberries were found with needles in them.

'I got the knife and I started cutting, then I actually saw (it) in there… I picked it out to see what it was and it was a nail,' Sylvia said.
Her mother said she was horrifed.
'It could've pierced something inside her.'
Suzy returned to the store where she discovered the strawberry display appeared unchanged.
She has expressed concerns the fruits haven't been pulled from the shelf.
'I would've assumed that they would've took just a precaution to take the strawberries off the shelf just until they can say what actually has happened,' she said.

A Woolworths spokesman told Daily Mail Australia it takes food safety seriously and had launched an investigation.
'We've seen the customer's report and we're looking into the matter in line with established procedures,' the spokesperson said.
'While this appears to be an isolated case, we've conducted precautionary checks on our stock in the store and found no issues.'
