PUNE: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is resorting to various ways in order to increase both passenger footfall and income. Towards this end, the administration has started advertising on bus stops, and is exhorting passengers to use buses to reduce pollution. They have also planned to advertise on radio.

From the past few days, the PMPML administration has been focussing on boosting its income. Efforts are being made to get more and more buses on the roads. The main aim of increasing the income is to pass on the benefits to drivers and conductors. The PMPML administration also plans to reduce the number of breakdowns on the roads.

“We want more people to use public transport. We have planned to hold ‘Bus Day’ every month. This initative will help to attract more and more public towards PMPML. We have put up advertisements on bus stops in both Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. We are also planning to advertise on the radio,” informed a senior PMPML officer.
