Ayodhya: We're lucky to see Ram temple coming up, says CM Yogi Adityanath

AYODHYA: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said many generations passed hoping for resolution of the 500-year struggle for Ramjanmabhoomi, and the present generation is lucky that it will be able to see a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Speaking after inaugurating fourth Arogya Mela at Suraj Kund in Darshan Nagar, Ayodhya, on Sunday, CM Yogi said, "Our generation is fortunate, we saw the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, played some direct and indirect role in it and will now witness a grand temple of Lord Ram coming up."

"The way for construction of temple has been paved under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I always told the seers of Ayodhya to have trust in PM Modi," Yogi added, on his first visit to Ayodhya after the the Union government set up the trust for temple construction.
"PM Modi delivered what he promised. Today, under his leadership, India is emerging as a power in the world, Article 370 in Kashmir was diluted and practice of triple talaq banned. He amended the citizenship law to create a transparent system of giving shelter to the suffering minorities," he said.
Referring to the welfare schemes, Yogi said, "When I came to visit Hanumangarhi temple last year, Mahaveer Harijan had invited me to lunch at his house and showed me his pucca house that was constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
He said if people become aware about government schemes, then no poor will die due to lack of medicine and treatment. Every eligible person should get Ayushman card and avail insurance of up to rupees five lakh per year.
"By 2025, we have to make India free of TB, filaria and all virus-borne diseases," he said.
"From 1947 to 2016, there were only 12 medical colleges in a big state like UP. We laid the foundation of 28 medical colleges in just three years. Seven medical colleges have started, including one in Ayodhya, while 13 will come up. We will ensure good health facility in every district," he said.
