Heatwave exposure linked to increased risk of preterm birth in California

(University of California - San Diego) A new study at UC San Diego, published February 11, 2020, found that exposure to heatwaves during the last week of pregnancy was strongly linked to an increased risk of preterm delivery -- the hotter the temperature or the longer the heatwave, the greater the risk.
