Canada’s aviation system is considered to be one of the safest airline systems in the world. Aviation has always been an integral part of Canadian life. Canadians rely on aviation to a great extent for numerous purposes. From personal travel to travel for business or other professional reasons, safe and efficient aviation is of utmost importance in Canada.
Honourable Marc Garneau, the Minister of Transport, Canada said in a press statement that the credit of the high standard safety of Canadian airlines goes to the airline and airport employees, engineers, flight crews, air traffic controllers and maintenance workers. He considers these people the chief source behind maintaining a safe and secure aviation service for Canadians. He further urged the Canadian youth to discover and explore the captivating world of aviation. He encouraged the youth to consider a career in Canadian aviation. He is of the opinion that Canadian aviation can provide the youth with multiple opportunities to experience and many satisfying as well as interesting fields to explore.
Canada’s National Aviation Day marks the anniversary of Canada’s first powered flight. It was back in 1909 when pilot J.A.D McCurdy flew the Silver Dart aircraft nearly 800 metres in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. Since the first flight nearly 100 years ago, Canadian aviation has been home to dedicated and responsible pilots who work towards connecting people across the country and all throughout the world.
