Iraq Confirms First Case of Coronavirus Infection after Elderly Woman in Najaf Tests Positive

Najaf: Iraq on Monday confirmed its first novel Coronavirus case as an elderly Iranian national living in southern city of Najaf was tested positive, health officials said.

On Sunday, Iraq joined countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Afghanistan as it blocked travel to and from neighbouring Iran days before announcing that the religious seminary student in Najaf is its first confirmed case.
