Kolkata: Met predicts rain early in the week

KOLKATA: The city could receive a few spells of rain on at least two days between Monday and Wednesday. The Met office has predicted rain to be brought in by two weat- her systems - a cyclonic circulation developing over Bihar and Jharkhand along with a high-pressure zone over the Bay. The sky is likely to be partly overcast from Sunday itself.
"We are expecting light to moderate rain on two of the three days between Monday and Wednesday with the maximum rainfall likely on Tuesday," said G K Das, director (weather) at Regional Meteorological Centre, Kolkata.
On Saturday, the day temperature rose slightly while the night temperature dip- ped marginally. At 30.6°C, the maximum temperature settled on the normal mark and at 18°C, the minimum temperature was a notch below normal.
