Pastel lehengas have won Shloka Ambani’s favour on more than one occasion, but knows how to keep it fresh. For instance, she wore her pastel Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga without a dupatta for Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra’s post-wedding sangeet, letting her ruffled high-cut choli take centre stage. And at Arjun Kothari’s pre-wedding bash at Antilia in November 2019, she turned heads in a lilac lehenga + jacket set by Anamika Khanna, which came embroidered with the designer’s signature delicate floral embroidery. In fact, it’s safe to presume that Khanna is among Ambani’s go-to couturiers, considering the number of times she’s worn the couturier’s creations. She had picked an Anamika Khanna lehenga for her own haldi ceremony back in June 2019 as well—a bright yellow floral number with watercolour style strokes of orange on the skirt. Kurtas are a favourite with her as well, and you only need to flip through her style files for proof. Case in point: the pastel blue kurta + palazzo set she wore for Reliance Industries Limited’s 42nd annual general meeting, featuring embroidered flora and fauna in shades of yellow, pink and green.
